A.M. Bickford’s pediatric breathing circuit provides safety and convenience to the patient and veterinary staff.
Veterinary anesthesia breathing circuits are a critical component for a successful surgery, since they are a direct extension of the anesthesia machine to the patient. Staff must choose the appropriate size for the patient. Both adult and pediatric breathing circuits are available.
The latex free corrugated tubing is 100% leak inspected at production. Also, designed to increase the flexibility and resistance to kinks in the tubing.
At 30 inches in length, the pediatric circuit is long enough to reach the patient but avoids cluttering the surgery room. Additionally, the standard 90-degree elbow safely and securely attaches to anesthesia breathing mask or an endotracheal tube.
Designed for “Circle System” anesthesia application, the “dual limb” circuit has standard 22mm inhalation and exhalation ends to connect directly to the CO2 absorber. The corrugated inhalation breathing tube delivers a continuous blend of oxygen and anesthesia to the patient.
The “Y”-piece effectively directs the exhaled air, which carries carbon dioxide, into the exhalation tube. The exhaled air then passes through the absorber’s exhalation valve, where carbon dioxide is chemically removed, ensuring a fresh breath in the subsequent breathing cycle. This cycle repeats, delivering oxygen and anesthesia while eliminating carbon dioxide.
